On January 4, Long An Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized a meeting to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2020 with leaders of communes, wards and commune-level towns in the province. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Pham Van Ranh; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Truong Van No attended the meeting.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can emphasized that in 2019, the province continued to achieve achievements in many fields. Especially, GRDP economic growth reached 9.41 percent; budget revenue exceeded the set target; economic structure shifted in the right direction; the average GRDP reached 72.67 million VND per person; etc. In order to achieve these results, in addition to the solidarity and efforts of the Party Committee, authorities, people and businesses, there is also the active participation and contribution of leaders of communes, wards and commune-level towns of the province.

At the same time, he hoped that they continue to promote the achieved results, strive together with the political system to successfully implement the socio-economic development tasks in 2020.
