Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Korea) visits and works with Long An province

Korea is one of the important strategic partners of Long An province, ranking 3rd out of 41 countries and territories that have investment cooperation in the province with 216 projects, total registered capital of 1.1 billion USD. Korean enterprises have made important contributions to promoting export growth and socio-economic development of the province.

The meeting is an opportunity for Long An to introduce its promising investment environment, with transparency and convenience in procedures, attracting more and more international investors, especially from Korea.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son emphasized that today's meeting, together with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Industry and Trade of Long An province and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is truly an important milestone, affirming the determination of both sides in their efforts to strengthen economic and trade links.

He expected that the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue to connect Korean enterprises in strategic areas such as high-tech industry, logistics infrastructure, high-tech agriculture, technology transfer and human resource training to develop key projects in the province.

At the meeting, the Department of Industry and Trade of Long An province and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The memorandum committed to promote partnership and bilateral economic development through trade, investment and technology transfer activities; organize conferences, seminars and visits to promote cooperation in trade and industrial development.

Previously, Long An also signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation with localities from South Korea such as Jeollabuk; Chungcheongnam; Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam; Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC).

These agreements are a solid legal foundation to promote long-term partnership and expand economic cooperation between Long An and Busan. This cooperation not only brings economic benefits to the two localities but also strengthens the friendly relationship between the two countries of Vietnam and South Korea, aiming for positive and sustainable results in the coming time./.
