From January 14 to 16 every 1st lunar month, the Lam Chay Festival takes place in Tam Vu town, Chau Thanh district, Long An province. Many exciting activities are organized, attracting a large number of people to participate.

On the afternoon of February 12, the Lam Chay Festival officially opened in Chau Thanh district, Long An province.

Nearly 2 centuries have passed, Lam Chay festival is not only the pride of the people of Chau Thanh district, Long An province but also a heritage of the nation and people.

Athletes and coaches across national training centres have returned to intensive training, preparing for strong performances in 2025’s international competitions.

The festival season is approaching. This is not only an opportunity for localities in Long An province to promote their image and attract tourists, but also requires strict preparation and management.

In Long An, Long Thuong Ngu Hanh Lady and Lam Chay are two of the major festivals that attract a lot of attention and are both recognized as national intangible cultural heritages.

A “Mam Ngu Qua” or five-fruit tray is indispensable for each Vietnamese family as among the numerous offerings that are required to decorate ancestral altars during the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

After more than 300 years of land reclamation, the Southern people have created a Tet style with its own unique mark, both preserving traditional identity and harmonizing with the characteristics of the new land.

Vietnam will play Myanmar in a friendly match on March 20 as part of their warm up ahead of their 2027 Asian Cup qualification.

The “Ong Cong, Ong Tao” (Land Genie and Kitchen Gods) worshipping ritual is considered the start of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival – the biggest and most important traditional holiday of Vietnamese people.
