He shared that growing Tet flowers does not require complicated techniques, the most important issue is that the weather must be stable and the planting time must be right. These are the decisive factors for the flowers to bloom right on Tet.

“To serve the Tet market this year, my family has prepared more than 5,000 flower pots, including sedum, sunflowers, marigolds, chrysanthemums, ornamental peppers, cockscombs, etc. The weather this year is very favorable for growing flowers. Therefore, I hope to be able to provide enough output for the market to have a prosperous Tet” - Mr. Son said.

These days, Mr. Truong Minh Dung, Hoa Thuan 2 Quarter, Can Giuoc Town is busy taking care of more than 20,000 flower pots of all kinds to serve the Lunar New Year market of the snake 2025. According to Mr. Dung, to have beautiful flower pots, farmers must know how to choose good seedlings, caring techniques and more importantly, must handle the flowers to bloom on time for Tet to have high profits.

Every year, he grows marigolds and Dutch chrysanthemums. This year, he has grown a new variety, which is the 4-color Korean raspberry chrysanthemum; modifying, mixing multi-colored marigolds so that customers have more choices.

"Just like every year, my family grows about 20,000 pots of various flowers. This year, I have also increased the planting in Phuoc Hau commune to 5,000 pots of marigolds and 5,000 pots of sedum. If anyone needs to buy, they can visit my garden. Regarding the price, my marigolds are delivered at 80,000 - 90,000 VND/pair. However, last year the economy was difficult, so I only delivered 70,000 VND/pair for traders and people to sell and buy easier." - Mr. Dung said.

Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Can Giuoc district - Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen said that according to incomplete statistics, currently, people in the district have planted crops to serve the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, including: 6.85 hectares of marigolds and 10,000 pots marigolds; 2.3 hectares of sedum; 12.7 hectares of orchids; 0.1 hectares of bougainvillea; 22.65 hectarers of watermelon; 5.35 hectares of cantaloupe; etc.
