Great National Unity Day warmly held in Thuan Dong hamlet, Thuan Thanh commune

Over the past time, officials and people of Thuan Dong hamlet always unite to perform well the tasks of socio-economic development, build the residential areas more increasingly solidarity and stronger. The implementation of regulations of residential area; patriotic emulation movements; promote the tradition of solidarity and mutual love; suggest to build the Party and government and so on are interested in participating effectively by people of all strata.

In 2019, the hamlet coordinated to do medical examination and treatment, free medicine delivery for 900 elderly people, worth 72 million VND; repaired 1 gratitude house, building 2 new great solidarity houses, compassion houses, totaling 135 million VND. At the same time, it mobilized sponsors to donate 1,400 gifts, 85 scholarships for students, worth over 200 million VND. After many years of striving, the poverty rate in the hamlet is now 0.07 percent and the near-poor rate is 1.66 percent compared to the total of households. In 2019, through review, 406 out of 421 households achieved 3 contents of cultural family (over 96 percent).

Large numbers of people participate in the GNUD

At the festival, 3 individuals received certificates of satisfactory progress from the provincial People's Committee, 2 individuals received certificates of satisfactory progress from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, 5 individuals received certificates of merit from the People's Committee of Can Giuoc district and 5 individuals received certificates of merit from the Thuan Thanh People’s Committee because of their good performance of the campaign "All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilized cities" in 2019.

On this occasion, the residential area of Thuan Dong hamlet was supported with 10 million VND, the Provincial Campaign Committee for the Poor gave Can Giuoc district 2 Great unity houses worth 100 million VND; 10 gifts for nation-deserving families, poor and near-poor households in Thuan Dong hamlet. The provincial Study Encouragement Association donates 500 notebooks to disadvantaged and studious students. The district Fatherland Front Committee offered 2 cows (16 million VND each) to poor households.

Certificates of satisfactory progress are given to individuals

Speaking at the festival, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Mr. Le Van Hung suggested that the locality should strengthen and promote its strength of the great unity bloc of the entire people; encourage people to participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, promote all resources to contribute to the successful implementation of tasks of economic, cultural and social development, protect of political security and social order and safety, maintain national sovereignty in the new situation. Households make great efforts and strive in production and business to improve their quality of life and join hands in building Thuan Dong hamlet to become more civilized and happier./.
