Launching Workers' Month associated with Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2023

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Confederation - Nguyen Van Qui suggested that trade unions at all levels, union members, and employees in the province promote the spirit of emulation and creativity to effectively implement tasks.

In particular, trade unions at all levels must thoroughly grasp and implemented specific measures in line with the actual situation of localities, units and enterprises about the activities of "Worker Month" associated with "Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health” in 2023; focus on consolidating and promoting the development of union members, establishing grassroots unions, completing and exceeding the target in 2023 in order to best implement the five themes "Focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots unions"; successfully organized the Congress of Trade Unions at all levels, towards the 11th Congress of the Provincial Trade Unions and the XIII Congress of the Vietnamese Trade Unions, term 2023-2028.

At the same time, the trade unions at all levels must actively advise and propose to the Party committees, authorities and employers, promoting all resources in order to effectively organize practical activities to take care of material and spiritual interests for the workers, employees; promptly organize activities to honor and praise excellent workers in emulation movements in order to promote the pioneering role and responsibility of workers towards enterprises, province and country;etc.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Labor Confederation gave 100 gifts to disadvantaged workers and employees in the province and 21 gifts to workers suffering from occupational accidents with an injury rate of 61% or more; enterprises gave 50 gifts to employees in difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth 500,000 VND.

The Provincial Labor Confederation gave the symbol of 60 Trade Union Shelters to upper grassgroot unions, each worth 50,000,000 VND.

4 CEP branches in the province and the signatories of the "Member Welfare Program" accompanies the Provincial Labor Confederation to take care of union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 1.8 billion VND. In addition, other sponsors supported over 1 billion VND for the construction of the Trade Union Shelter.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - Thai Thu Xuong suggested that trade unions in the province should focus on researching and selecting practical activities, actively implementing activities to take care of material and spiritual life for the employees; dialogue with employers for fully implementing the regimes and policies for employees, fulfill the social responsibility of the enterprise; focus on the development of union members, establishment of grassroots unions, building stronger trade unions; take care of building a contingent of union cadres with political courage, experience and enthusiasm for union activities, daring to fight to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

In addition, she emphasized, all levels of trade unions in the province need to innovate contents and ways of operating, effectively organize the implementation of resolutions of the Party Congresses and General Congresses at all levels heading to the 13th National Congress of the Vietnamese Communist Party; focus on promoting the implementation of Resolution No. 02, dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Renovating the organization and activities of trade unions in the new situation";etc./.
