Long An ranks 9th nationwide in the '1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties; creativity and determination to win Covid-19 pandemic' program

On September 20, the Labor Confederation of Long An province organized a summary of the Program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties; creativity, determination to win Covid-19 pandemic". This program was launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and is a key emulation program to welcome Trade Union Congresses at all levels, the 11th Provincial Trade Union Congress and the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2023 – 2028.

Delegates exchange and share effective ways in implementing the Program

After 2 years of implementing the Program, Trade Unions at all levels in the province have shown a high sense of responsibility and determination in directing, deploying, implementing, creating enthusiastic response and participation of union members, workers, officials, and laborers.

As of August 31, 2023, the whole province has 47,184 valid initiatives, reaching 188% of the plan (exceeding 22,068 initiatives); ranked 9th in the number of initiatives nationwide with the total estimated benefit value worth hundreds of billions of VND.

At the conference, 2 collectives and 1 individual were honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 3 collectives and 2 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 32 collectives and 34 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial Labor Federation for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties; creativity, determination to win Covid-19 pandemic".

Chairman of the Provincial Labor Confederation - Nguyen Van Qui affirmed: The program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity; determination to win Covid-19 pandemic" is an effective solution, contributing together with the Party Committee, Governments at all levels to develop the province's socio-economic. The program also enhances the position and role of employees through promoting initiatives and creativity; spirit of solidarity, responsibility, will for self-reliance, pioneering and creative role of the working class and Vietnamese trade unions. Many initiatives have been applied effectively, promptly meeting the production and work requirements of agencies, units and businesses. Many businesses are interested, supportive, and have incentives and rewards for the value of the initiatives participating in the program.
