Tan An City reaches and exceeds 20 out of 21 targets for the Resolution of term 2015 - 2020

Implementing the Resolution of the Xth Congress of Tan An City Party Committee, tenure 2015-2020, 20 out of 21 targets of the Resolution achieved and exceeded. The growth rate of production value in the period 2016 - 2020 reached 10.9 percent. The economic structure has been shifted towards reducing the proportion of agriculture and improving the quality of industry-construction and trade-service development.

Tan An City built 5 out of 5 communes meeting cultural and new-style rural criteria and submitted to the Central Government for appraisal and recognition of new-style rural construction.

Tan An City leaders report draft political report for the term 2015 – 2020

The city has focused on implementing breakthrough programs and key projects. To date, more than 5,800 billion VND has been mobilized to invest in the construction of urban, socio-economic technical infrastructure, to complete two key projects of ward 2 and ring embankments of ward 3. It focused on leading and directing the completion of criteria for urban areas of type II recognized by the Prime Minister.

Culture - society has made many progresses, meeting the needs of cultural enjoyment and social security. National defense - security, internal affairs, external relations were enhanced, social order and safety were guaranteed. The Party building work and the political system have achieved many positive results, the contingent of cadres concerned has been strengthened, consolidated, streamlined, constantly improved the quality and efficiency of operations.

The draft political report has 2 parts, the first part is the results from the implementation of the Resolution of the Xth Congress of Tan An City Party Committee, term 2015 - 2020, which highlights achievements, shortcomings, limitations and lessons learned; the second part is the directions, tasks in the period 2020 - 2025, in which, the situation, goals, major targets and key solutions tasks are identified.

Delegates contribute to the draft political report

At the Conference, delegates highly appreciated the preparation of the Tan An City Party Congress, the majority of delegates agreed with the draft political report of the Xth Tan An City Party Committee, term 2015-2020, however, the delegates also contributed some ideas such as planning and training cadres to meet current needs, especially towards building and developing the city. Tan An City basically meets the criteria of type-I urban, focusing on the planning, paying more attention to the drainage system in the inner city area. The delegates highly agreed on personnel work, ensuring the compliance with regulations, expected structure, reasonable quantity, meeting the requirements.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Pham Van Ranh highly appreciated and praised the seriousness and urgency of the Standing Committee of Tan An City Party Committee in preparing for the XIth Congress of the Municipal Party Committee, term 2020 2025. The draft political report has been carefully prepared, showed the results in leadership, directing the implementation of the Resolution, pointing out the limitations and shortcomings, causes and lessons learned, as well as goals and directions for the next term. However, he also asked for a clearer and deeper assessment of Project 02 of the Provincial Party Committee, regulations on coordination between the Municipal People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee in the past term, Directive 05 on promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style; breakthrough programs, key projects need to have a deep assessment of the results, shortcomings and limitations; overcoming the shortcomings and the weakest are managing urban planning and landscape; It is necessary to promote experience in mobilizing resources for investment in urban and socio-economic technical infrastructure; review the criteria suitablly; etc.
