To well implement the mission of taking care of workers, especially in the month of April, Long An Provincial Confederation of Labor and all levels of Trade Unions strive to organize many practical and meaningful activities, contributing to encouraging, sharing with employees by many activities including visiting and giving gifts.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan is a worker of Dat Quang Minh Production - Service - Trade - Construction Company Limited (Ben Luc district). Since having an accident, he has faced many inconveniences in his daily life. The company created conditions for him by arranging suitable work for his health, helping him maintain a stable job and income, but his family still faced many difficulties. He received attention, visits, and encouragement from Trade Unions at all levels, especially gifts during Tet and Workers' Month.

Mr. Tuan confided: "I am 81% disabled, have difficulty walking, and cannot work as hard as before. Unfortunately, I had an accident at work, but with the care and concern of the company and the colleges at all levels, I was greatly encouraged to rise up and make efforts, especially trying to work to take care of my family."

Receiving gifts this year, Ms. Le Thi Hong - worker of ChingLuh Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. (Ben Luc district), confided: "I am very happy to receive the attention and gifts from the Trade Unions at all levels. This is physical and mental encouragement, helping employees overcome difficulties, work hard, and have long-term attachment to businesses and localities."

Workers and laborers in difficult circumstances receiving gifts

It is known that at the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and in response to the Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene in 2024, the Provincial Labor Federation presented gifts to 100 workers in difficult circumstances from the Golden Heart Charity Fund in Long An. Each gift is worth 1 million VND, including: 800,000 VND in cash and a gift bag worth 200,000 VND.

In Workers' Month 2024, the Provincial Labor Confederation will organize a direct conference and dialogue between the Provincial Party Secretary and workers, representatives of labor employers and union officials; coordinate to organize a thematic voter contact session between provincial National Assembly deputies and workers; etc. Through those activities, the provincial leaders and National Assembly delegates of the province can meet and listen to the thoughts, aspirations and recommendations of the workers, especially about life and work, from which finding timely solutions to help workers feel secure in their work and have long-term attachment to businesses and localities.

Particularly, the Workers Thanking Program will be held at enterprises to honor the contributions of labor to the enterprise, create trust and a close bond between labors and employers, contributing to building a relationships of harmony and stability.

Many activities to care and create practical playgrounds for workers are also paid attention to and implemented well by Trade Unions at all levels.

Workers, officials, and laborers participate in the Jogging Tournament "Worker's footsteps for productive labor"

In this year Workers' Month, the highlight is the Jogging Tournament "Worker's footsteps for productive labor" organized by the Provincial Labor Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The tournament attracted 23 units with a total of 230 male and female athletes participating.

Chairman of the Provincial Labor Confederation - Nguyen Van Qui said: "The jogging tournament contributes to promoting the campaign "All people exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", creating healthy playground, exchanging, learning, demonstrating the strength of solidarity, improving stature and health, building awareness of self-exercise, forming a lifestyle to improve the physical, cultural, and mental health of union officials, members, workers, civil servants, and laborers. The tournament also arouses the pride and vibrant competitive spirit in athletes and employees."

Mr. Nguyen Van Trung - a member of the Duc Hue District Labor Federation team, shared: "The atmosphere of the tournament is very exciting. All athletes enthusiastically participated. I really like this activity because this is the sport I love and practice every day. This helps spread the spirit of sportsmanship among workers and helps them improve their health, thereby working more effectively."

Cultural exchange program "The Voice of Workers" with many art performances

In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation also organized the cultural exchange program "The Voice of Workers" with the participation of 12 special performances. These are performed by members and workers of Tan An City Labor Confederation, Trade Unions of Education, Health sectors and Provincial Employees' Trade Union to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, International Labor Day, 70 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory, 134 years of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and responding to 2024 Workers' Month.

Cultural exchange activities also help workers enjoy performing arts, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere during the Workers' Month. This is also a playground for workers to show their talent and passion for singing."

Through caring activities, workers can share difficulties as well as have more useful playgrounds, contributing to arousing the tradition of solidarity, creativity, and promoting the pioneering role and sense of responsibility of the working class in socio-economic development./.
